Having recently returned to the streets of Liberty City after an extended period in maximum security confinement, Tommy Vercetti is dispatched to Vice City by his former employer, Sonny Forelli. Given their understandable apprehension regarding his return to Liberty City, a journey southward appeared to be a prudent decision. However, his arrival in the glamorous and hedonistic city of Vice City does not unfold without complications. He finds himself betrayed, left without funds or goods. Sonny demands the return of his investment, yet biker gangs, Cuban criminals, and corrupt officials obstruct his path. The majority of Vice City seems intent on eliminating Tommy. His sole recourse is to retaliate and assert his dominance over the city himself.
