Description Of This Game
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is a first-person shooter game co-developed by Treyarch and Raven Software, and published by Activision. It represents the seventeenth installment in the Call of Duty series and serves as the sixth main entry in the Black Ops sub-series, succeeding Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
Black Ops Cold War, which is a direct sequel to Call of Duty®: Black Ops, immerses players in the tumultuous geopolitical conflicts of the Cold War during the early 1980s.
In January 1981, CIA operatives Russell Adler (Bruce Thomas), Alex Mason (Chris Payne Gilbert), and Frank Woods (Damon Victor Allen) are dispatched to Amsterdam to target Qasim Javadi (Farshad Farahat) and Arash Kadivar (Navid Negahban) due to their involvement in the Iran hostage crisis. Utilizing intelligence obtained from interrogating Qasim, the trio tracks Arash to an airfield in Turkey, where they witness him executing all individuals in the vehicle he arrived in. The team successfully eliminates Arash's men and corners him; he boasts that the Soviet spy Perseus (William Salyers)—whom Adler thought was deceased—was responsible for orchestrating the hostage crisis before being executed. Following a briefing from Adler and Jason Hudson (Piotr Michael), U.S. President Ronald Reagan (Jeff Bergman) authorizes a covert operation team to neutralize Perseus.
Adler's team includes MI6 intelligence officer Helen Park (Lily Cowles), CIA operative Lawrence Sims (Reggie Watkins), and Mossad operative Eleazar "Lazar" Azoulay (Damon Dayoub), with Mason and Woods providing tactical support. The final member of the team is an agent known solely by the codename "Bell", who reportedly served alongside Adler and Sims in MACV-SOG during the Vietnam War. Operating from a safe house in West Berlin, the team requests Bell to recall Operation Fracture Jaw from 1968, where Adler believes he, Bell, and Sims first encountered Perseus. Subsequently, the team moves to East Berlin to apprehend or eliminate Anton Volkov (Rafael Petardi), a Russian mafia boss connected to Perseus.
